About The Projects:
Small Town Gaming, STG for short, is a up and coming business focused around bringing gamers together in the Delaware and Delmar area. They do this by hosting competitive gaming tournaments bursting with a friendly environment and good sportsmanship. They’re great community events that help bring gamers of varying ages and backgrounds together for a night of fun. One of their events was a series of fighting games, where participants get to duke it out in the virtual ring and see who comes out champion! The event is held across two days and four different tournaments. I was asked to design the poster that will be hanging in the window of the establishment where the event is being held. Bright colors, colorful characters representing their respective games are there to grab attention. The text flow was a little tricky to make visually interesting on this one, but in the end, the goal is to clearly communicate and not confuse the eye. This one pulls through on that.

For the second two sets of flyers further down this page, they were hosting a tournament for the game, Gears of War, which is a dark and gritty first person shooter. There are a few variations for the design and flyer types. I’ve included the tri-fold and a couple of rack cards. Overall the ones with the image look a lot better, but to help them save ink, there was also ones with a plain white background. That was due to the fact they were going to have to print these ones on their own home printers due to how fast of a turn around they had to be done.

The last set of flyers showcased here where for November 2018 when they hosted a charity event to help raise money for one of their local children’s hospitals through an event called Extra Life.  They asked me to create a 8″ x 10″ flyer that they could distribute around to help promote the event. They currently do their own printing for fliers, so I kept the colors simple to help reduce ink costs. Included here is the main flyer design, along with a smaller one that they can share on their Facebook page.
